About the Andrews-Paulos Research & Education Institute

The Andrews-Paulos Research & Education Institute (APREI) is the non-profit division of the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. A facility of Baptist Health Care, the Andrews Institute is a 127,000 square-foot all-inclusive complex that houses diagnostic imaging, a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center, an outpatient rehabilitation center, and an athletic performance training center.

The Andrews Institute established APREI in order to advance the science of orthopaedic care and sports medicine to educate not only the professional community but also the general public on issues that affect their daily health and well-being.

Our Foundation

Prevention of injuries in youth sports, our community and our armed forces – whether active duty or veterans is our primary focus. With your help, we will continue to build a healthy community.

Established to develop sports and musculoskeletal medicine programs to prevent and treat injury, APREI is committed to improving the quality of life of people of all ages while increasing human performance and wellness through our research and education initiatives.

Our Vision

APREI leads research and education initiatives and provides public service programs that generate new techniques, technology and methodologies that are implemented in direct patient care and will improve the lives of people of all ages. The vision is spearheaded by the on-going efforts of internationally renowned orthopaedic surgeons Dr. James Andrews and Dr. Lonnie Paulos.
