Course Description This two–hour course features lectures and hands–on lab to manage on–the–field injuries and equipment removal. Environmental concerns, cardiac emergencies, and latest National Athletic Trainer’s Association position statements and consensus statements on concussions and c–spine management will be reviewed. The course presentations provide learners the intellectual environment to develop knowledge, skills and judgment concerning catastrophic injuries. This program has been approved for a maximum of (2) hours of Category A continuing education. Certified Athletic Trainers are responsible for claiming only those hours actually spent participating in the continuing education activity. BOC Approved Provider Number: P2413 CEU for Athletic Trainers is available. The target audience for the course is ATC, EMS, ATC Students, and Coaches.
